Meg O’Reilly Exhibiton

What: We are incredibly excited to announce that Meg O’Reilly will be exhibiting her wonderful oil paintings with us in our Ramsgate studio-shop.

“I am an oil painter, working with a raw, instinctive approach where immediacy and feeling take precedence over refinement. My practice is rooted in loose, gestural mark-making and a direct engagement with the surface, allowing figures and forms to emerge in a way that feels alive. My work often sits somewhere between figuration and distortion, where characters feel both familiar and slightly off, narratives aren’t fixed but hinted at, shaped by memory, atmosphere, and instinct. I’m interested in capturing something where the painting holds its own presence without needing to fully explain itself.”
